Thought of the Day:
“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” - Romans 1:20 ESV
Look at a tree, an insect, a lizard, a hawk, a bush, a rabbit, and a coyote. What do they have in common? They are part of the desert ecosystem. Take one out and the others suffer. Since I’ve lived in the desert I’ve seen a cycle. One year there will be an abundance of rabbits and or quail running around. The next, I’ll see a lot of coyotes; the following year still a lot of coyotes, but not so many lithe creatures. Finally in the fourth year, the coyotes are hardly seen, but the quail and rabbits are back in abundance.
As the Lion King movie would tell us, it’s the circle of life. The ecosystem works in harmony keeping itself in check and by providing animals to be eaten and animals who are the eaters. When one is taken out of the equation, the others will thrive, until their numbers oversell the resources available. This is a delicate balance and in a sense a symbiotic one as well. Each creature needs another to keep the ecosystem running smoothly. Yet, we are taught so often that each one developed on their own. How? In fact we can see that all of them need to develop at the same time so that none overwhelm the environment they’re a part of.
This can’t be by chance, and in fact the Bible tells us that everything that we see has its beginning from the Creator who set it all up.
Look at the world, why so many religions? Because we can look around and instantly understand that this world is way to complex to be an accident and must have a designer. The God of the Bible says that he is the one that created all of it. And it’s through his creation that we should take our first steps in seeking him, because as Paul says in Romans 1:20, no one has an excuse, because we all have the creation pointing back to its Creator.
